MV: 2ne1's Be Mine

2ne1 just released "Be Mine", a collaborative project with Intel Korea.  The project "Make Thumb Noise", allowed fans to vote for their favorite instrumental for the track, song title, arrangement and bridge.  Over 1 million fan votes was garnered during he four rounds of voting. This song is quite catchy! I'm still looking for the English translation. :) And I can't wait for 2ne1's comeback! :)

MV: Bigbang's Monster

Bigbang's new MV just came out!  The song is Monster from their album, Alive.  I'm still searching for the English translation of this song, so that I can appreciate the song and music video better.  If anyone finds an English translation, do let me know! :)

I love Seungri's contacts!  Tayang's Mickey Mouse hair is just weird, and so is GD's bunot hair.  I love TOP, as usual.  His piercing stare really makes one's knees wobble! ;) 

YG, oh YG!

Since foinding about 2ne1, Big Bang and other YG family artists, I have always dreamed of becoming a YG artist.  I admire their talent and creativity.  And there's something special about YG talents that are unique to them, that no other Korean artist/label has.  And who wouldn't want to be a part of the YG family?  From episodes of Big Bang's documentary and 2ne1 tv, I saw how YG takes care of its talents.So imagine my pleasure as I found out about YG's global decision.  I was ecstatic!  Maybe this is my chance to be a kpop star!  But unfortunately, that happiness was short-lived.  :(  I was disappointed to fnd out that there wasn't going to be an audition in the Philippines.  And I was waaaay past the age limit! :)) HAHA Oh well,  I envy those who will be able to audition, to show their talent, to be given a chance. Regardless, I will always be supportive of YG family. :) If anyone who reads this happens to audition, do tell me about it please! :)

Other YG news is that YG will be releasing CDs through Universal Records Philippines on May 26! :)  I checked out their facebook page and wow, the packaging is epic!  There are also freebies! Ack.  Dilemma, where to get money to buy all those goodies? </3

Adios, Manila!

Nine hours to go and I'm off to escape the summer heat of Manila. This will be our first trip as a family in years!  My parents aren't fond of going on vacations.  While we spend most of our summers together at Siaton, Negros Oriental, this time we're headed to a new destination.  I'll definitely blog about it when I get back! ;)

For now, I have to pack my things!  Gah. This is the least part of travelling that I look forward to.  Plus the lonq queues at the airport! I hope our baggage doesn't get offloaded!

Adios, Manila!

The Kpop Bug: Big Bang and 2ne1

I have never been a big k-pop fan before because I wasn't comfortable with hearing/singing songs that I do not understand.  However, years back when I found out that Sandara Park is a member of 2ne1, I began to listen to their songs.  Although I did not turn into a blackjack (the term 2ne1 fans call themselves) right away. I would only watch 2ne1 videos on tv.  In the midst of boredom, as I was watching youtube, this Korean boy band caught my attention.  With their good looks, swag and talent, they got me hooked!  They are the first korean boy band to have caught my attention.  I have never been a fan of other Korean boy bands because I found them too metrosexual.  But this boy band is just oozing with swagger!  Who is it? It's no other than Big Bang!  I soon familiarized myself with their songs, and even their beginnings. I researched about them and even watched previous documentaries and shows they starred in.  I was very much delighted to have discovered that Big Bang belongs to the same label as 2ne1, YG Entertainment.  And I instantly became a fan of YG Entertainment!  Big Bang, 2ne1, Se7en, Tablo, they are just so talented! I sometimes wish of being Korean so I can audition at YG! Haha

I can't help but spazz!  I have turned into a fan girl!  GD's musical genius, Taeyang's ABS, and T.O.P.'s glare! GAAAH!!! :)) Okay, I should stop now.  I'll spazz in another blog post. Anyways, here's a video of Oh Yeah with GD & T.O.P. and 2ne1.  I love this performance.  They are all just  comfortable with each other.
